I took my first spiritual gifts test when I was in middle school, and today my test results are the same for my most dominant gifting from God –faith.
The Bible tells us as Christians we all have been given a gift of “saving faith” that leads to our salvation, but not all have been given the spiritual gifting of faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The word for faith is derived from the Latin fides[1] and is used throughout Scripture to define the trustful, human response to God’s self-revelation via His words and His actions.[2]
I believe God gifts us each uniquely, purposefully, and intentionally. My entire life I have been surrounded by men and women of exceptional faith, each of them fostering in me a burning desire and thirst for God’s faithful words to me.
